Formed in Vancouver, BC in the fall of 2000, the Borealis String Quartet is the Quartet-in-Residence at the University of British Columbia.  They were honored to be invited by the Emerson Quartet to be mentored in the inaugural Emerson Quartet International Chamber Music Workshop at Stony Brook University.  The Borealis String Quartet has established itself as an ensemble praised for its dynamic performances, passionate style and refined musical interpretation.
